Home Cooking
I don’t really enjoy cooking, and when it’s difficult to find the ingredients you need for Western cooking, I like it even less. But I was so proud of myself for figuring out my own substitute! I made Turkey Barley Soup with Homemade Basil Beer Bread tonight!!!! I don’t have a clue what barley looks like at home, but I knew that there was something called, “Job’s Tears” (意仁) here in Taiwan. Usually, it’s served in desserts, but it looked close enough to what I think barley would look like, so I threw it in my soup. AND IT WAS GOOD!
