"Game" at Happy 100

At E-Da Mall, there's a place called Happy 100. Maybe it's because there are 100 games that can make you happy, including this one... Put coins in, look through the viewer, and you can see, in 3D, ocean scenes, famous scenery from around the world, and of course, beautiful models.

I LOVE Ramen

What a great idea! This is a Ramen shop near Tai Da University. For 50 NT, you get your choice of instant noodles, which comes with an egg, veggies & a drink! I never tried it, but if I go back to Taipei, I'm definitely hitting this stand.

Giant Mitsukoshi Snow Globe

I never fulfilled a dream of mine... to walk inside this giant snowglobe that Mitsukoshi puts out each year. The line was just too long, so we had to make do.

Love It!

Large slurpees were on sale this past weekend. Half price. That made them 12 NT each (or $0.40 CDN).
And now, they have a deal that whenever it reaches 30C or higher here in Kaohsiung, the large slurpees will also be half price until the end of April.
Another reason I love living here.

Popcorn Flavours

At our movie theatre in Kaohsiung, we’re used to being offered a choice of sweet or salty flavours. But they pulled a new one on us this time. Mango. Yep, mango flavoured popcorn.

E-Da World

There’s a man in our community – we call him “Mr. I-Shou” and he is very rich. Rumour has it that his son is married to the granddaughter of the King of Thailand, and that they are partially funding this enormous monstrosity that is called, “E-Da World.” If you have visited us, then you know that we live in the boonies – amidst mountains and farmland. But no longer. We are now in very close proximity to E-Da World.
We don’t know when they’re opening, but it’s going to be big.
Stay tuned! 472 473 474
